For my late Cold War force, I'm choosing to use 1990's Americans painted up as Canadians, due to the use of the C7 and C9 (minimi)
My Canadian reserve Army, I am basing off of the ESCI NATO troops British figures, which have FNs, SMGS and GPMPs.
I'm also mixing in Vietnam War Americans for the uniforms and the fact that most units if they had been rushed into a war, would have had to make due with whatever the underfunded DND could give them.
A war gamming blog on the Cold War in 1/72. Emphasis on plastic figures, and equipment on all sides. Plus a smattering of Pop culture soldiers on both sides of the divide would have enjoyed.

The British Army: The Royal Green Jackets
I choose to paint up a rifle regiment for the simple sack of, why not?
As well, my father was attached to the 4th Battalion (TA) Royal Green Jackets during the 1970s.
Sections include SLR, SMG, Bren, GPMP and Carl Gustav anti-tank

The British Army: The Parachute Regiment
I've been suffering insomnia, so I decided to do some painting to relax my mind. However, here I act now making a blog post.
My Cold War British Para's come from the Matchbox set of NATO Paratroopers, which was produced about 1983. I was lucky enough to get myself two sets of these.
I have used my MAA Armies of the Falklands conflict as the basis of my painting guide.
I have also based one battalion, a section with SLRs, Smgs, Bren and a GPMG team. I will also ensure they have a Carl Gustav Anti-tank section.
