Netherlands 103 Verkennings Eskadron for 4. Divise

So I've been doing some research on my Dutch force in team Yankee, and I realized that it's smaller than my Canadian forces

So basically I have a Recce Battalion made up of a Leopard 1 squadron, which is made of turrets mounted in bushes, with a M113 Light Infantry section.

Unless I draft in my Belgian Leopard 1s it's pretty small.

Update:

Since I have been given the chance to teach in Nunavut, I will be able to have the chance to rebuild my NATO forces.

As of January 2023 the Dutch now have

1 battery M109 sp guns (2)

Leopard 1

The Dutch need

Leopard 2 squadron

The carriers

M113

And recce

So, yeah need to build the whole force

Source books: The Vietnam experience

I got a new used series free from a local museum that couldn't sell it.

Despite the price tags, I got them free
And another bonus I found. Including the Australians at Long Tan in 1966

Generic NATO M113s

These can either be Belgians or Dutch or extra Canadian
Originally they were packaged as Oil Wars Israeli but my NATO forces needed some more transport
They may also be found in the army of Iran,

I'm going to keep them with a basic paint job.

Hasty Attack: Dutch vs Soviets

the scenario from Battlefront Miniatures

Initial deploying of the NATO right flank. Danish recce

the make up of the Dutch force, augmented due to  losses

Belgian mortars but with an Isreali card

Dutch Leopard 1 Squadron led by a Danish Leopard 1
A West German Leopard 1 squad but actually M60s rushed to make up for losses
the single West German 120mm mortar
Leopard 2 Squadron with a TOW section, West Germans but with an Israeli card
Soviet left wing held by the Anti-aircraft Regiment, and a single section of Iranian Basji in an East German BTR-60
Soviet centre held by a BTR-60  motor rifle section, in fact they are a heavy weapons section
Arcadia battery
BMP-1 Motorized Rifle section
BM-21 Hail battery
Carnation battery
BMP-2 Motorized rifle section
BMP-2 Scout section
Shilpa, Storm and the Recce section hold the Soviet right
The rest of the Soviet force, a T-64 Tank Regiment

Dutch and Belgians hit the Soviets again in the NATO counter attack.
The Dutch are attacking with a Leopard 1 Recce Squadron while the Belgians are charging forth with a mixed Armoured Regiment of Leopard 1s and M60s which have been sent as replacement for losses
 sustained.

The initial NATO attack went well however it got bogged down on the flanks. Soviet resistance to the attack was better than anticipated.
The French arrived with a supporter Chasseur battalion with armor and Artillery but these were kept in check. The final act was the Soviets flanking the NATO right flank with a T-64 tank Regiment.
A further M41 Squadron are also being deployed. But it was destroyed by the Iranian Basaji
NATO reserves were a French force, but even this wasnt enough to continue the momentum of the attack.
A Soviet victory again.

While the Iraqi armor was halting the Iranian tanks, their infantry were being shredded by the fanatical Baisiji

The Iraqi Artillery is about to unleash a massive bombardment on the town
