a last cast of the dice for the Panzergrenadier Battalion was to rush the carriers in to push back the Soviet infantry 

but to no avail! The Soviets merely advanced RPG'S and took them out. The Dutch are now cut off from the rest of NATO.

Battle for schonebeck August 1985

This scenario I have revamped tweaking the scenario in the book, with an alternative point based force for both sides.

This attack on the down, has a French led force, with Belgian and Danish help, to stop an East German and Polish push.

The Soviets are regrouping for another hot at NATO. The other Warsaw Pact divisions are being given a crack at NATO forces to test their metal, and to give the Soviets a chance to halt.

However, the Germans and Poles are being supported by a battery of Soviet Carnations, a squadron of Storms and a Squadron of Gaskins.

It's been awhile since the French have faced off against the Warsaw Pact so we shall see how it goes. Additional NATO support is being rushed to the area and will arrive as reserves

And amazingly enough, it is a French victory! The combination of Dutch mortars, and Belgian reservist units halted the Warsaw Pact advance. So a victory for NATO 

Battle for Autobahn August 1985

Soviets t64 battn and with a motorised rifle battalion, will attempt to break through the border region of West Germany and Belgium.
For the Soviets fresh from their success against the British, this will finish off the last remaining resistance in the Northern flank.
For the Dutch and West Germans, victory in this game will dictate how much NATO can continue with the support to the West Germans and Dutch.

NATO forces are a hodge podge of Canada, Belgium and West German reservists.

Belgium: 1 mechanised brigade of a tank regiment (m48s) and infantry on foot
West Germany: a reservist brigade of a Leopard 1 Recce battn, a Marder battalion

The Soviets, reequipped have begun their second offensive. This is the Strongest force the Soviets have sent to punch through the NATO defensive lines.

Despite the efforts of the Canadian and Belgian and West German defenders, the final spot in the Netherlands fell to the Soviets.

The UN defenders are hidden as best as they can. The North Koreans didn't anticipate that the South has built up so much

Turn 1 The Communists charged into the town, holding Changbalsan hill as an objective and contesting the town Hall.

The Communist armor has been extremely aggressive. 

UMAC forces on turn 1 slowly advanced feeling out the Communist armor. The Soviet new armor Battalion sprung forth and using theor sped were able to support the drive on the bridge over the Han River. 

Turn 2: The North Korean infantry were engaged by 6RAR who then poured accurate machine-gun fire. The Australians took heavy casualties but inflicted some on the North Koreans with their engineers using flamethrower.

The Queens Dragoon Guards rushed into the town square but were engaged by T-34/85and BTR-50 heavy machine-gun fire knocking out one squadron. While the Zil -2 57mm battery was knocked out, and the North Korean 82nd MM mortar squadrons was pinned, they continued to hold their position. The Australian gun buggies were also pinned down by machine-gun fire from the T-64 squadron.

Turn 3:

The Soviets smash through all over the battlefield. Their new tanks are no match for the Pattons, however no tank is ever invincible.

The bridge is recaptured by UNMAC units, whole the British take more casualties from the T-62 Battalion using theor missles to take out the noodle shop the troops had been sheltering in.

A new Bradley falls victim but the squadr9n secures the bridge.

Soviet recce did well in advancing but were halted by the Queens Dragoon Guards. 6 RAR then take a foothold on Changbalsan.

Eventually 2 gunbuggies take out a T-80 and a T-64 from the rear.

However, the Communists hold the town hall
