 Definitely has a 1980s sound to it

These were French vehicles which were turned into a cheap anti-tank weapon. I had looked into getting the kit in 2020 but held out until 2021. 

They've proved themselves well, and have even found themselves drafted in as French allies

Warsaw Pact BMP-1

 

I'm slowly painting up my Warsaw Pact forces for another season of games 

In my research, I will ensure that the East Germans will have BMP-1 and the Polish.

The Czechs are enabled to have these and the BMP-2

Wow look what I found

I was just giddy like a schoolboy when I saw this. While this version was the Recce version, it gave me a better idea of how they were used. 

I've ordered the BMP battalion box from Battlefront Miniatures. 

Generic NATO M113s

 

These can either be Belgians or Dutch or extra Canadian 

Originally they were packaged as Oil Wars Israeli but my NATO forces needed some more transport 

They may also be found in the army of Iran, 

I'm going to keep them with a basic paint job.

Need to make bunkers and sangars

 I got some new plaster, so on my days off I'm hoping to build some new emplacements for both forests and deserts 

Working on the dug in emplacements 

I've made a section of dug in position either as earthworks made with plaster and wood bits and  others with bricks 

I just need to get some shots up.

Update on my small American force

 I'm thinking on fielding the force as part of the US 2nd Marine division or a mixed formation.

A Squadron of 3 M60 tanks. 1 as an HQ and 2 as a troop.

A single M113 which can carry an Infantry section or could be an observer for an airstrike

A single M551 Sheridan which I have added a gun shield to.

A mixed section of Humvees as a Cavalry squadron

An anti-aircraft section of stingers and Chappel. 

And in addition a new Abrams Tank squadron pictures to be added soon

And a section of M901 Hammerhead Anti-tank. One is a M113 mounted, the other is a scratch built from the bits box

Oil Wars: More actions with Iran and Iraq

 I'm really going to work on some battles in this theater for a bit. I've been reading up on the war and am hoping to put some more actions together.

I'm going to run it similar to my Team Yankee campaign of the 2020 summer. 

One thing that will happen will be a change up in tanks  that were available to Iran.

Should be interesting. And some Warsaw Pact allies may find themselves there.
