Iran for Oil War

One of the few purchases for TY in 2021. Until I get some issues in order, I won't be getting any new gear for quote some time

May 2022: got a section of M60s for the Iranians.

And I might have gotten them an infantry section, I just have to see if Iran used Aks or not.

Source book Battles of Vietnam

Good pictorial book on the conflict, balanced on Nations covered, not just America.

Ive used the battles in this book as the basis of several scenarios I will play once the NAM series from Battlefront Minatures comes back online.

Ogaden War 1978 Somolia vs Ethiopia

Another interesting conflict pitching Ethiopia with help from Cuba, Soviets and Yemanis against Somalia

More use of Ww2 kits from the Soviets and Cold War gear

The Somalian objective be8ng held by the Ethiopians

Ethiopians holding the town

Ethiopians holding a church

The old T-34/85 still giving good service

Source book: Timelife books on Cold War

This was another series I picked up but I cherry picked volumes from it.

Armoured fist, Special forces and Commando are the ones I picked up.

Source books: The Vietnam experience

I got a new used series free from a local museum that couldn't sell it.

Despite the price tags, I got them free

And another bonus I found. Including the Australians at Long Tan in 1966

Leopard campaign: Forward edge of Battle

I've decided to fight a West German led defensive campaign this summer with my Team Yankee kits and my 1/72 gear.

The scenarios are from the book Leopard.

It should be interesting

At the Forward edge of Battle

NATO force: France, Belgium, Dutch and Canadian and West Germans

Czechoslovakian force holding a town

Soviets in reserves

Warsaw Pact Hinds try to dominate the field Germans begin to advance

VCR/TH HOT Iraq Anti-tank

Definitely has a 1980s sound to it

These were French vehicles which were turned into a cheap anti-tank weapon. I had looked into getting the kit in 2020 but held out until 2021.

They've proved themselves well, and have even found themselves drafted in as French allies
