NATO Offensive 1985

The Free Nations of Canada, France, Netherlands, Australia/New Zealand and the British will be hitting back at the Warsaw Pact forces.
The first course of the campaign will be a Dutch/Belgian/Danish and Norwegian force acting as a rearguard to entice the Warsaw Pact to continue an advance. This is to be fought around Scharnbeck.
The second action will be a Commonwealth action involving the Canadian 4CMBG, elements of the 17/21st Lancers, Australian and New Zealand units. This will be a Commonwealth counterattack at Ergersheim
The third, will be an attack by the French, Belgian, Italian forces. The American 82nd Airborne will be held in reserve to aid in their attack.
This ambush will be at Cronheim.
The main objective of the NATO offensive will be to smash the Warsaw Pact forces in such a way as to splinter them.
NATO forces have been building up their units from the initial stages of the war and have been steadily expanding their numbers.
The British are also to conduct a counteroffensive. The Irish Guards Battle group will be attached to the rest of the Iron Division to conduct a full scale attack on the Soviets at Bettmar. The British have been building up their
forces with having called up their reserves.  The losses sustained have resulted in older equipment being reissued to the reserve elements.
